Introduction to the Project
Connect and Care is an integral part of Umoya Trust UK. The Trust was formed in order to capture the spirit of togetherness by expanding the work already being carried out by individuals and organisations with the heart to help the most vulnerable people in our communities. We have run outreach projects, soup kitchens and deal with the issues brought about by homelessness, poverty, and abuse. We have members who are trained in social housing and can offer advice to the long term homeless. We have strong links to Africa and have provided support some of the most neglected African children through our orphanage and helping them gain an education. We have recently started work on a new project to build a home to support the elderly and disabled in Zambia. Our aim is to provide support and funding where it is needed, ensuring the ones in need benefit from our resources, in the UK and in Africa.
Our Vision
The main vision which we share is of a united world, togetherness, where those who are willing to give their time, skill and money can help those in desperate need.
We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean, but the ocean would be less because of that missing drop
